Alejandro Bataller

Vice President, SHA Wellness Clinic / AB Living Group, Madrid, Spain

Alejandro Bataller has a degree in Market Research and Techniques from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE) and in Business Studies from the University of Alicante (UA), completing his studies at Harvard Business School with an executive program in Business Management. Born in Argentina, with Spanish-Italian roots, he showed from a very young age a clear vocation for the business world. Before joining the family business, he went through the world of Banking in London (Royal Bank of Scotland) and the luxury giant (Louis Vuitton), always linked to the areas of business development, Marketing and Strategy.
 
In 2007, he joined the family company group, AB Living, with the challenge of facing, along with his family, the launch of what is today the indisputable leader in health and wellbeing, the SHA Wellness Clinic. Twelve years after opening, the wellness clinic has been hailed with unprecedented international media coverage and over one hundred international awards, among them “Best Medical Spa International” from Conde Nast Traveller and Tatler or “Best Wellness Clinic” from World Spa Awards. While it is not easy to replicate this unique concept, SHA has recently announced expansion plans for Mexico (2023) and Emirates (2025). Also working on a new wellness brand that will soon be announced.
 
But the biggest achievement are without a doubt the more than 65,000 people who have gone through SHA experiencing a significant transformation in their health and well-being, including a long list of members of royal families, heads of state, and the most prominent personalities in the world of the company, sport, cinema or music.
 
Within the AB living group they have a division focused on Luxury hospitality, usually combined with branded residences, in which they intervene as investors, developers and asset managers, creating soulful places on unique environments in association with some of the most iconic brands in the luxury tourism industry as Luxury Collection, St Regis or Ritz Carlton. Alejandro has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Gentleman magazine as well as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Spanish Association of Young Entrepreneurs. With a strong academic vocation, Alejandro is an associate professor at the
Instituto de la Empresa (IE), while also being a regular speaker at the most prominent Luxury, Tourism or Wellness Business forums.
