Cláudia Cavadas is PharmD, Master in Cell Biology, and PhD in Pharmacology, University of Coimbra, Portugal. Claudia Cavadas is Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra and head of the Neuroendocrinology and Aging Group at CNC – Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra. Cláudia Cavadas has experience as principal investigator of national and international funded projects, supervisor of more than 50 graduate students, and is co-author of 100 research papers. Cláudia Cavadas is the former elected President of the Portuguese Society of Pharmacology and is the elected member of the Executive Board of the European University Network “Coimbra Group”. 

Cláudia Cavadas is Vice Rector of the University of Coimbra, in charge of Research, Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research, coordinates the initiative GendER@UC and Doctoral Schools@UC. 

At the Longevity 2023 she will introduce the topic about ” Fundamental biomedical research, interdisciplinarity and longevity”.

In this conference I will highlight the new knowledge that we have been generating in my group of research (Neuroendocrinology and aging, Center of Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra), and by others, that contributes to develop new interdisciplinarity strategies to promote healthy longevity.
