Garri is a seasoned business angel with an extensive track record in tech business and an early investor in science-intensive ventures. Prior to founding LongeVC, he co-founded Longenesis – a medical technology startup company working towards providing a technological bridge between healthcare institutions and BioTech industry with an aim to help identify and unlock the hidden value of biomedical data to accelerate the novel drug and treatment discovery and provide better help those in need. In 2021, Garri became Executive Coordinator of the Longevity Science Foundation, a swiss nonprofit organization funding research on longer and healthier human lifespans. He is also a managing partner at LongeVC, a venture capital firm backing visionary biotech, and is on the advisory board for PsyMed Ventures. Garri is a seasoned business expert and angel investor with several successful exits across biotech and tech companies.
Nuno Arantes-Oliveira, is an entrepreneur, investor and academic with a scientific background and an interest in innovation, particularly in the Life Sciences and in Healthcare. Nuno is one of the four partners of Clinical Research Ventures (CRV), a Boston-based global investment fund focused on clinical-stage biotech and medtech companies. Nuno began his career as an invited graduate student working on the genetics of aging at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). Since 2003, founded and/or served as CEO of various companies in Europe and the U.S., in fields including technology transfer, drug development, genomics, healthcare services, and aquaculture. Nuno served as President of P-BIO – Portugal’s Biotechnology Industry Organization from 2011 to 2015 and sat on the board of Health Cluster Portugal from 2008 to 2013.
Petr is a Czech visionary, a serial entrepreneur of over 30 years. Petr helps innovative startups in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Longevity technology to grow into confident companies with global ambitions. Petr is a founder of LongevityTech.fund, Entrepreneur in Residence at Singularity University, CEO of Whytics, co-founder of the Platform on Artificial Intelligence at the Confederation of Industry, member of Peter Diamandis´s organization Abundance 360, Lifeboat Foundation, and a Senator for Czech Republic in the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF). Petr is a founder of the AI Awards project in a co-operation with Economia – a leading business media publishing house. Petr has been featured in the group of 28 AI leaders in the flagship World Intellectual Property Organization study.
Graduated in business organization and management by ISCTE, MBA in marketing by Católica University of Lisbon. Complementary training in areas of management, marketing and banking by Nova SBE, and Insead (Fontainebleau). Teresa Fiúza has relevant experience in the fields of Banking and Credit. Founding member of the Portuguese delegation of the Insead-Woman in Business club. She was a trainer at the Banking Training Institute. Guest member of the jury of the seventh edition of the Youth Volunteering Award, from the Montepio Foundation. Active member of Montepio corporate volunteering, including the pilot project PIS – Programa de Integração Social. Between 2018 and 2021 she was a member of the monitoring committee of the Montepio pension fund and is a non-executive director of Lisgarante – Sociedade de Garantia Mútua.
Philipp is Head of Data Sciences and Precision Nutrition at the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences, which is part of Nestlé’s extensive R&D Network. Over the past years, he has led a translational research program in healthy aging that brings to life nutritional solutions for disease prevention and management of chronic conditions across the Nestlé portfolio. Current work combines biomarkers, smart nutrition profiling and digital ecosystems that enable people to take informed health and nutrition choices and help track success of personalized nutrition interventions. Philipp graduated from Heidelberg Medical School in Germany prior to postdoctoral studies on molecular mechanisms of aging at the University of California and the Gladstone Institutes in San Francisco, USA.
Dr. Jyothi Devakumar is a scientist, entrepreneur and a lifelong longevity enthusiast. She holds a PhD in biotechnology and her postdoctoral work was in in-vivo delivery systems. She has worked in various sectors of the industry including working as a part of a contract research organization liaising with several ivy league pharma companies in the drug discovery space, as scientific founder and CSO of two startups, and as a consultant in the regenerative medicine and longevity space. In the investing space, she has been a venture consultant, part of a mid-sized venture fund as the Principal Biologist and Partner. She is currently associated with the Longevity Tech Fund group of companies as the Chief Science officer and Partner. She has served on several scientific advisory boards and editorial boards, and she brings in scientific expertise, business strategy and management experience with a multicultural multi-country background.
Max is a business minded scientist, pursuing a PhD in the Kennedy Lab at the National University of Singapore. His research combines methodologies from AI, Complex Systems, and Lipidomics to investigate aging biology. In the past he held leadership positions in financial and life science startups and obtained a MSc in Complex Adaptive Systems from Chalmers University of Technology.
He is part of the core team of VitaDAO, a collective that funds and promotes longevity research, and a scientific advisor to Longevity startups and Venture Funds.
Francisca is currently the Executive Director of Hospital da Luz Learning Health, leading the implementation of a cutting-edge simulated hospital at Hospital da Luz Lisboa, integrating advanced training of health professionals, translational and clinical research in collaboration with leading research and academic institutions, and internal and external innovation. She is also an Invited Associate Professor and a member of the Dean’s Board at the Faculty of Medicine of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a Non-Executive Board Member at UpHill, SA, a startup funded by leading European Venture Capital funds in the impact sector and Luz Saúde. Francisca was previously a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Lisbon.
Francisca has a degree in Physics Engineering and Technology from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and holds a PhD in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics (MEMP) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She attended the Harvard-MIT Division for Health Sciences and Technology (HST) combining MIT science and engineering courses with the first two years of Harvard Medical School clinical curriculum, and clinical rotations.
